Daniel J. Bavuso III, PIM Portfolio Manager

Executive Vice President & Financial Advisor
Daniel Bavuso | Executive Vice President & Financial Advisor | Seventy2 Capital

As an Executive Vice President and Financial Advisor at Seventy2 Capital, Daniel Bavuso takes his responsibility to his clients very seriously. For thirty years as financial advisor, in good markets and bad, he has always tried to put the best interests of his clients first. Though a commitment to objective fundamental analysis, consistent communication, and reliable customer service, Dan has worked to grow his client’s assets and built a valuable wealth management practice. He is honored to currently advise 150 households, most of whom have been clients for decades, and be trusted with over $185 million of client assets as of April 10, 2024.

Although Dan welcomes his valued clients who choose to pay per transaction in traditional brokerage accounts, most of Dan’s clients hire him to be directly responsible for managing accounts in fee-based, discretionary advisory accounts, monitored by a compliance department held to rigorous industry standards. What took Dan thirty years of learning to build had to be aligned with partners like Seventy2 Capital and Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network that share Dan’s commitment to client safety and soundness of client assets. Dan is very confident that Wells Fargo is a safe firm to hold securities and cash. His family intends to have its liquid assets at Wells Fargo immediately. Dan has strong conviction in the direction of the organization as a whole and of the Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network business unit Seventy2 Capital is a part of in particular. Dan sees the investments and commitments made at the highest levels of the firm to wealth management practices like his and fast growing independent advisory practices like Seventy2 Capital. It is a business he wants to spend the next chapter of his career helping to build.

Dan’s wealth management methodology employed throughout his career will not change. He will continue to apply three decades of experience gained through some unprecedented market environments, analyzing multiple fundamental research opinions from relevant voices, and most importantly, continuing to follow price trend signals on a daily basis on behalf of clients using the Point and Figure methodology of technical analysis studied since 1999.

The first in his family to attend college, Dan started his career at Lehman Brothers as a cold caller right out of college. He built a business at Merrill Lynch, expanded at UBS for eleven years, and then spent fifteen years improving his practice and growing his client asset base at Morgan Stanley. In 2024, Dan joined Seventy2 Capital to deliver the same objective analysis, the same communication, and the same commitment to excellent customer service clients have come to expect. At Seventy2 Capital, protected by Wells Fargo custody, clients can be sure the advice they receive is their best interest always. Dan’s decision to venture beyond working as an employee of a large broker-dealer and become an independent business owner of the wealth management practice he built was not made lightly. He is resolute in his belief that this move will result in significant benefits for his clients in the years to come.

Originally from Philadelphia, Dan attended Georgetown University, graduating from the College of Arts and Sciences in 1993. He and his wife of twenty-seven years, Kate, have three children, Matthew, a musician in San Diego, Tommy, an associate on the equity research desk at Wells Fargo in New York, and Jane, a freshman in high school. The Bavuso family have lived in nearby Rumson for almost twenty-five years and have contributed for two decades as volunteer recreation coaches and local administrators of recreational activities for children. Dan’s out-of-office life is focused on his family and their various activities along with the family’s obsession with Philadelphia sports teams. Dan is also an avid music fan and enjoys seeing a wide variety of live music all over the country.
